With the logistical support of the Yammine Foundation, the inhabitants of Chuspa collected 1,182 kilos of glass in the Vargas state.
Sarkis Yammine, spokesperson of the Foundation, explained that a truck, shovels, gloves and the active participation of the community were the materials to give a clean face to this population of the Vargas coast.
He explained that the environment is one of the main lines of action of the Yammine Foundation and that they are committed to continue supporting the effort of the communities that wish to work in this issue.
“Not only because of the impact on salubrity, but because in this case it is a tourism attraction and the accumulation of garbage drives away tourists, with the consequent impact on the population’s economy”, said Yammine.
For its part, the community of Chuspa expressed its gratitude to the support of the Yammine Foundation and expressed its desire to continue having the logistical support for this task.
Sarkis Yammine recalled that the Foundation has been developing important social work in the Vargas state, like the support for the construction of the Diocesan Curia of that entity, which was inaugurated in Macuto last October. Place that serves for a better work of the Catholic Church on the region and where a health center will soon be working for the benefit of the people of Vargas.
