This week, the Children’s Orthopedic Hospital received a donation of 10 wheelchairs from the Yammine Foundation, which for five years has been supporting the sectors with most needs in their five areas of action:
- Health
- Education
- Sports
- Culture
- Environment
“This donation will benefit our patients very much. We really needed them, because, after surgery it is difficult for them to walk. These wheelchairs will help us a lot “, said Ninette Barboza, Medical Director of the Hospital.

The donation of the chairs was done by Sarkis Yammine, Spokesman for the Yamnine Foundation, who said he was happy with the contribution. “We are interested in helping communities, especially in such a sensitive area. We hope to continue supporting the Orthopedic hospital in their excellent job ” he said.
The medical center, which was founded 72 years ago, attended an average of 921 patients last year from all over the country. In 2016, a total of 202,256 people, both children and adults, were treated at their facilities, of which 4,001 needed hospitalization and 3,815 received surgical procedures. Hence the importance of the donation received.
