90 children that belong to the junior soccer school Hermanos Laverde of Cúa, Miranda state, spent an unforgettable day on Monday, as they were driven – thanks to the support of the Yammine Foundation – to Caracas to the facilities of Futsal Park in Los Samanes, for practice, there they received a visit from their idol, Wuilker Faríñez, goalkeeper of the Venezuelan national team who recently signed to play for the Millonarios de Bogotá.
The children were practicing in the modern facilities, when suddenly everything stopped with the arrival of the vinotinto player, who was immediately recognized by the children, who asked for autographs and souvenir photos.
The message that brought Faríñez to the children is part of what is his personal experience: the child from a popular sector that with hard work fulfilled his dream: “The most important thing is effort, commitment. You should never forget where you come from and should not lose humility and simplicity” They were part of the advice that was given by the 19-year-old soccer star.
“I thank God for giving me this opportunity to collaborate. I’m proud of this activity, “said Faríñez and about his career he added: “Everything has happened quickly, but for that we work, we want to continue advancing and reach a higher level”.
The activity was carried out thanks to the support of the Yammine Foundation. Professor Alberto Laverde, director of the soccer school, declared that it has been a great gift. “This Foundation has supported us for many years. This school is maintained thanks to this contribution, because we come from a region with scarce resources. This motivates the children more, we form values here, ” he quoted.
He said that the day lived by the children will be unforgettable for them: “These facilities are wonderful. It’s a fantasy come true, they never thought to live a day like this. ”
The soccer school attends to children in the sub 8, sub 10, sub 12, sub 14, sub 16 and sub 18 categories, coming from popular sectors of the Urdaneta municipality of the Miranda state and does not charge registration or monthly fees, as it is maintained with the contribution of the Yammine Foundation.
