More than 400 children from Refugio de la Infancia Primary School in Antímano, lived a special day on Tuesday, December 5th, where they enjoyed inflatable mattresses, sweets, hot dogs and were visited by Santa Claus.
The activity was carried out thanks to the contribution of the Yammine Foundation, which has been supporting this educational community for more than ten years in this kind of initiative.
The director of the school, Gina Hincapié, said “This is a very happy meeting made by the Yammine family. We are very grateful. The kids enjoyed a lot, it means joy, a way of sharing healthily and the presence of God. ”
Professor Hincapié, who is also a religious woman, said that when everyone in the school, including the staff and the 30 teachers, knew that this activity was going to take place, they were very happy “We have the satisfaction of seeing the cheerful faces of the children, ” she said.
For his part, Sarkis Yammine, spokesman for the Foundation, was pleased to be able to offer them a day of joy and feed the illusion of these children from the popular sectors of Antímano. “We will continue to be present in these types of initiatives that allow us to provide smiles and values to the little ones. The motto of the Yammine Foundation is to Sow the Future, because that is what we want to do, to contribute to sow the seed of the beautiful country for which we work for”.
At the arrival of Santa Claus, all the children wanted to hug him. The affection was then rewarded with the gift of a backpack for every kid. Santa said goodbye with the applause and thanks of the educational community.
