In just one month of teamwork, the Community of Chuspa, population of the state Vargas, with the support of the Yammine Foundation, collected 4,500 kilograms of glass and 120 of plastic between November and December.
The activity, framed in the environmental line of action of the Yammine Foundation, allowed to give a cleaner face to this beautiful town and spread awareness among its inhabitants.
Guided by the support plan for environmental education, the organization gave handbags and crayons to students of the Zea Bolivarian Integral School, as a way to encourage them to care for and clean the environment. They also delivered solid waste disposal modules to the community.
Sarkis Yammine, spokesperson of the Foundation, explained that the collection action has been carried out thanks to the support of the educational community of the Zea School, Simoncito Macaria Romero, the Virgen del Rosario Church of Chuspa and the neighborhood organizations of the area.
He informed that the Yammine Foundation will continue collaborating with the residents of Chuspa and commented that the environmental line of action is one of the priorities of the organization.
“We believe that the care of our landscapes is vital to increase tourism, to improve the quality of life of neighbors and take care of the planet. This requires teamwork, “said Sarkis Yammine.
