The tournament integrates soccer schools in the country, which will also receive supplies as contribution to their activities. This Tuesday the first competition was held with the participation of the Vinotinto goalkeeper and the organization of the Yammine Foundation.
Caracas 15/6/2018 Four soccer schools of popular sectors of Caracas held a soccer tournament on Tuesday, which had an unexpected referee: Wuilker Faríñez, goalkeeper of the national soccer team of Venezuela and Moisés Acuña, professional player of the Caracas FC, both were in charge of administering the regulation in the final game, which was carried out in the park La Guacamaya, of the Baruta municipality, on the initiative of the Yammine Foundation.
The “Sembrando Futuro / Sow the Future” tournament is a quadrangular futsal rally, in which 4 sports schools participate and receive special recognition for their participation. The one of this Tuesday was the first competition and in other days the protagonists will be other soccer schools.
“The future of Venezuela is the kids and we bet on them, the next generation of Venezuela and sports (…) We hope that they grow, that they stay away from all kinds of vices, that they follow the path of the studies, and sports, and that they have a healthy and constructive life for the country, “said Sarkis Yammine, spokesperson for the Foundation.
The schools: RR Sport Club, Tico Perez, Juan Arango de Caricuao and La Gran Parada, all sports academies in low-income communities, participated in the competition. After completing the quadrangular, each school received a donation of 10 soccer balls, so that the kids can continue and improve their techniques on the field every day.
“The idea is that the competitions are done on a monthly basis with the different schools in the country so we can strengthen the alliances with all of them to continue supporting them in whatever they need. Also, give these spaces to grow and have a different and enjoyable day, “said the spokesman.
He added that these events are part of the “Sow the Future” program, through which it invests in activities for the benefit of Venezuelan children and seeks to sow solid values and contribute to their formation.
These tournaments help the kids
Goalkeeper of the Vinotinto FC, Wuilker Faríñez, and Moisés Acuña, central defender of Caracas FC, highlighted the importance of this type of events and the support of the Foundation for the development of these youngsters.
“Excellent is the work of the Yammine Foundation because every child wants to pursue a career. Those who organize this type of events are doing good, giving these children the opportunity to continue growing and advancing (…) I started like this, playing these tournaments and I am proud to be with them, “said the goalkeeper, at the same time that he invited Venezuelans to be part of these events so that children and young people never stop dreaming and learning good values.
“We hope that, with God´s help, that this is the generation that brings Vinotinto to a World Cup, we are working for it, for the same goal, but we hope that they can continue advancing in that process,” concluded Faríñez.
On the other hand, Acuña emphasized the importance of making these activities more frequent, to reinforce the support and achievements of each team.
“I think it’s something very productive and very good for these children, since most of them what they lack is unconditional support that gives them that impulse to continue working and achieving their goals in the future (…) This type of activities is a good leap for them to continue working in that way and fulfill their dreams, “said the player.
In the competition, the RR Sport Club team took first place when they beat the “Tico Pérez” School in a penalty shootout.
