As part of the “Nuestras Playas / Our Beaches” project, the Yammine Foundation gave talks last week to the community of Chuspa, in the Vargas state, on the importance of waste recycling and the techniques to carry it out.
104 children between the first and fifth grade of the Bolivarian Integral School Zea listened attentively to the explanations of the facilitators of the Yammine Foundation as they learned how to recycle.
In addition, the Foundation provided logistical support to the residents of Chuspa, which allowed the collection of 30 kilograms of plastic, explained the spokesman of the institution, Sarkis Yammine.
He commented that the environmental line of action is one of the priorities of the Yammine Foundation and that the “Nuestras playas (Our Beaches)” project is aimed at creating awareness in the communities of the Venezuelan coasts about the importance of the maintenance of the environment and the benefits of recycling.
He explained that after carnivals they will return to the Varguense community to provide support for the collection of glass, cardboard and plastic.
