The Yammine Foundation gave 10 wheelchairs to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, to meet different needs and daily requirements of their patients.
Viviana Yammine, Cynthia Karam and Alex Useche were in charge of delivering the donation on behalf of the Foundation. “This was our first collaboration with San Juan de Dios, and we will continue to collaborate with this medical center that does an important job,” said Viviana Yammine.
The San Juan de Dios Foundation, which runs the healthcare center, manages various modalities of cares for patients that are wheelchair-bound: loans, rents and donations to families that do not have economic resources, so this type of donations are very helpful.
“There will always be people who need them, because it is very difficult to find a wheelchair and they have many uses (…) We expect a good partnership with the Yammine Foundation and see what needs can support us with, because everything that comes we will give good use “, emphasized Hermano Andrés García, director of the Hospital and the San Juan de Dios Foundation.
This is the second time in which the Yammine Foundation donates equipment to medical centers. In November, they delivered another 10 wheelchairs to the Orthopedic Children’s Hospital and also signed an alliance to continue with the contributions.
“We start from the “will to help” of all the members of the Yammine Foundation. The health area is one of our lines of action, in tune with our plan “Sow the Future”, which allows us to provide support for the improvement of the society “said Viviana Yammine.
