The Yammine Foundation signed an alliance with the RR Sport Club, which operates in the premises of the San Agustín de Caricuao School, with whom it will promote a campaign for children and young people to recycle plastic containers in exchange for equipment and basic instruments to play soccer.
“Children will learn and grow with the culture of recycling and wit this they will also earn better materials for daily use, especially in sports: balls, cones, caps, nets, etc., a set of sports equipment they use on a daily basis, “explained Sarkis Yammine, spokesperson for the Yammine Foundation.
He affirmed that this is a simple way to inspire the 360 children who play in the RR Sport Club to carry out direct actions with a positive impact on the environment. “I think it’s a good opportunity for this soccer school. Give them balls so they see materialized that effort they make when recycling, “he said.
Yaminne explained that this donation is part of the vision of the Foundation that is summarized in the slogan “Sembrando Futuro (Sow the Future)”, by means of which they support self-sustainable initiatives that contribute to the improvement of the environment and the formation of citizen values.
Alex Useche, coordinator of the Foundation, handed out soccer balls to the school, as part of the initial incentive.
For his part, Isaac Reyes, director of the RR Sport Club, highlighted the enthusiasm with which the children received the alliance. “They were very excited about the issue of how to recycle, because before they didn´t understand it” he said.
“The benefit for children will be the sports equipment and the care of the environment. They see that they are making a difference, little by little, with a grain of sand, but they make a difference with their parish and with their country, “added Reyes.
The parties stressed that this alliance has no time frame, so they will continue working together on this project.
